Graphic and Print Specifications

PSI has a Macintosh based pre-press/graphics department. Electronic files can be provided on a CD-Rom or via e-mail or FTP transfer.

  • Photoshop (.psd, eps, .tif) include font files if other than standard system fonts
  • Quark (qxd) (Quark and report files plus collected output folders: fonts, pictures, profiles)
  • Combination of these files (include the file extensions at the end of your file name). You may supply a PDF file only if it is print ready.

To ensure accurate output, please use PSI templates. If you do not see the template you need, please contact your account executive.

  • If your artwork is printing 4/C process, provide your files in the CMYK format (not RGB)

  • All images should be 300 dpi and include all screen and printer fonts (or create outlines where applicable)
  • Include a B&W or color printed J-PEG or PDF of each component

For Silkscreen Offset Printing (use the directions above plus the following):

  • For any 4/C process artwork, an additional white background is recommended. Note flood white on your file.

Offset is printed on 150 line screen.
Rimage printing is used for CD/DVD Duplication. Files can be provided in illustrator or PSI can set the type for your disc printing.
